Citizens from all over Montenegro send clothes, quilts and blankets for citizens of Turkey

Citizens from all over Montenegro are sending help today for citizens of Turkey who, due to the catastrophic consequences of the earthquake, need quilts, blankets and warm clothes.
This type of support was initiated in Podgorica by a citizen of Turkey in cooperation with the Turkish Embassy, and as volunteer Edina Džudžević told us, they are more than satisfied with today's response from citizens.
It's really amazing how many citizens reacted. We don't have a place to put all the things, and help comes from several municipalities, not only from Podgorica. That's why transport means were organized and will be in Podgorica at the end of the day - said Džudžević for Pobjeda.
He points out that everyone who wants to help can deliver their contribution to Njegoševa number 35, and that things will be collected by 5:30 p.m. at the latest - so that they can be sent by the first plane.
The most necessary are quilts, blankets, jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, laundry boots, wardrobe for men, women and children - the volunteer added.
Today, the Red Cross of Montenegro opened a giro account to collect aid for the population affected by the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Activation of the SMS number with mobile operators has also been launched.
The CKCG reported the statements of colleagues from Turkey that now the priority is financial support and that everyone is refraining from sending humanitarian aid for the time being.

This number will soon be active with all three operators - Telekom, One and M-tel, and as of today for users of Telekom's telephone services.
The price of sending one SMS message is one euro.
