AUTHOR: M.J.
Although the illegal act of electing the deputy director of the Police Directorate is not an affirmation of European values, and despite the dominant opinion that the government should be abandoned, the Presidency of Democratic Montenegro provides temporary support to this government until the acquisition of IBAR, after which a thorough analysis of the relationship between the signatories will be carried out Agreement - is one of the conclusions after the session of the Presidency of this party held today.
This evaluation, as stated in the announcement, will include compliance with the law, compliance with the principles of the Agreement, analysis of the achieved results, as well as the quality of personnel policy.
Our decision to provide temporary support is based on the fact that we do not endanger European integration and IBAR in any way, and that in this sense our achieved successes and our key role in the continuation of the fight against organized crime and corruption are not called into question - they said. from Democratic Montenegro.
They expect all members of the parliamentary majority in the meantime to lead, as they said, "a merciless fight against all the anomalies inherited from the previous regime, directing their forces towards correcting mistakes and promoting fairness and legality in all aspects of state governance, in order to ensure that the coalition continues to function".
The Presidency will not support any initiative for the revision of the Agreement in terms of principles, constituents, division of areas and departments within the 44th Government of Montenegro - it was pointed out in the announcement.
The Presidency of the Democrats assessed the decision of the Government of Montenegro on the appointment of the Acting Director of the Police Administration as illegal.
The Presidency expresses its surprise at the attitude of one coalition partner from the parliamentary majority, who does not have members of the Government, and who, through media appearances and in other ways, justified the illegal appointment of v. d. director of the Police Administration, although he expects the Democrats to affirm and respect the coalition agreement at the same time. At the same time, we welcome the principled attitude of the other coalition partner within the parliamentary majority, which does not have members of the Government, and which pointed out legal and procedural omissions - they stated in the announcement.
The Presidency of the Democrats, as they add, provides full support to the Minister of the Interior, Danilo Šaranović.
How about his previous work, respect for the law, the Government's conclusions and proposing, according to the minister, the best candidate for v. d. Director of the Police Administration. as well as for his decision to continue the legal battle over this issue before the Administrative Court. This is a key step not only for solving the current legal and political situation, but also for the competent institutions to take appropriate actions and initiate procedures, as they announced in their public appearances - emphasized Democratic Montenegro.
