About 15 environmental activists from the non-governmental organization Ecopatriotism gathered today at the roundabout in Nikšić and blocked a city street to warn the local administration and the Municipal Company in the town of Trebjes that they must take more care of the Gračanica river, which is littered with garbage.
One of the organizers, Ivana Čogurić, said that everyone persistently ignores them, that even Komunalno disposes of waste in the river bed, that there is an asphalt base there, and that every Monday after the flea market closes, piles of garbage remain on the banks.
This is just another warning to the authorities, as they pointed out, and they said that they will be patient for another month and give them a new chance to react and do what the citizens pay them to do.
Activists said that next time, if necessary, there will be incomparably more of them because they will not give up.
