Nikolić: They have crossed all the red lines, we will be in the institutions but also outside them with the citizens; Vuksanović: This is a fight for the state of Montenegro

The opposition firmly stands on the position that the role of the Constitutional Court has been taken over in the Parliament, with the aim of preventing the electoral processes from taking place, said DPS MP Andrija Nikolić at a press conference in the Parliament of Montenegro.

"None of these people are comfortable or happy to participate in the interruptions of sessions, but there is no way to deal with people who trample on the Constitution and citizens.

The only division is the destroyers of the Constitution and the defenders of the Constitution. We will not retreat before the destroyers," Nikolić said at the press conference.

Yesterday's decision of the Constitutional Court speaks convincingly in favor of the fact that the Constitution was violated in the Parliament, Nikolić said.

"The responsibility does not lie with the opposition, but with the violent parliamentary majority," he added.

The biggest deception, lie and untruth is that by not voting on the budget, citizens will stop receiving salaries and pensions, says Miloš Konatar from URE.

"We would be endangered if Milojko Spajić's budget had been adopted. Citizens of Montenegro, when you hear someone telling you that you will be endangered, know that it is the most ordinary lie.

I cannot believe that colleagues do not know elementary things, they do not know that salaries and pensions will not be stopped. We are in a blockade due to the decisions of the parliamentary majority. We would easily get out of this situation if the unconstitutional decision of the Constitutional Committee was withdrawn," says Konatar.

They say that violating the Constitution is a red line that they will not cross.

"The Constitutional Court confirmed that the deputies knowingly violated the Constitution. If any of us do not like the decisions of the Constitutional Court, should we take over their jurisdiction?! That is not the rule of law, it is anarchy! In order to mask this, a new narrative is being launched," said Boris Mugoša from SD.

It seems grotesque that Andrija Mandić is giving lessons on the European path, Mugoša said.

"Today I hear that we are blocking the closing of the chapter, imagine that nonsense. I am sure that this madness will pass and that what they are trying to do artificially will pass very quickly," Mugoša said.

You can fool the citizens once, and they will not allow it later, he is convinced.

"It turned out that the coalition of PES and DF is perfect for them but painful for Montenegrin society," Mugoša pointed out.

Adrijan Vuksanović from HGI said that when the Constitution is being made meaningless, "there is no point in us simulating regularity and everything that is commonplace in political life."

It is important to mention that other minority parties issued a statement and said that what happened was unconstitutional, he pointed out.

"Yesterday we heard from Mandić that Croatia blocked Chapter 31 because of Prevlaka and the Adriatic, this existed until 2020. But wise politics showed that open issues are not problems. Croatia did not block Chapter 31 because of that, but because of the anti-European subservient policy of this government. Our common denominator is the defense of the Constitution of Montenegro.

The parliamentary majority has succeeded in something that has not been possible so far, which is to unite the opposition," added Vuksanović, saying that "this is a fight for the state of Montenegro."

Boris Mugoša points out that "it was probably their agreement to adjourn the session, but Mandić decided to conclude it, and others have the right only to nod their heads."

"It is their responsibility that the budget will not be adopted. He has the option to schedule a session by the end of the year, and if that does not happen, then the Government can submit a proposal for an extraordinary session, and for the leader to schedule a session," he said.

Andrija Nikolić is convinced that, as he says, the prime minister's ill-mannered behavior will be punished by the citizens.

"All red lines have been crossed here, we will be in institutions but also outside them with the citizens of Montenegro," Nikolić said.

"Those who play dirty should know that it is short-lived"

Nikolić commented on the negotiations on the formation of the government in Podgorica.

He said that they "received convincing support from the citizens to replace the government in Podgorica" and that "it would be unnatural for those who held positions in the current government to form the government again".

"As a responsible political entity, we have given a chance for responsible policy to be effective. We have distanced ourselves from certain statements and projections, if you can be threatened by thugs, then the question arises: what is the point of elections if everything is agreed in advance", Nikolić said.

Konatar also pointed out that the citizens of Podgorica wanted changes.

"I will quote the president, "the current majority is anti-constitutional, anti-Montenegrin". If someone thinks it is not, then they will form a government with them and bear the consequences for that, I do not want to accept that the highest Montenegrin officials can be scared of internet trolls or some MPs, but that is a question that you will ask those who change their value positions overnight", said Konatar.

If someone thinks that during the campaign they say that this government is bad, and then they form a government with them, that will be proof that the political scene in Montenegro is hypocritical and manipulative, believes Konatar.

It is important to maintain dignity when you are involved in politics, says Boris Mugoša.

"You know what happened, my principles are that politics I do not allow gossip, if the essence is a table with the division of functions, it leads to the regression of Podgorica.

Those who play the dirty game should know that it is short-lived, we will see what will happen. If some decide to constitute the government after insults, then they deserve each other," Mugoša said.
