The director of the Gymnasium, Biljana Vučurović, has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in the ceremonial hall of the Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović", due to, as stated by this educational institution, "an organized action via social networks directed against this institution and her personally".
These days, the case of sexual harassment of a former student of this high school has come into the public spotlight, after CIN Montenegro published research on this topic on November 30.
A former student of the Gymnasium "Slobodan Šekerović" Sara Vujisić labeled the professor of this prestigious Podgorica high school, Radoman Čečović, as a sexual predator who sent her lewd messages three years ago, while she was at her graduation.
What caused particular concern in the public was that Director Vučurović, when asked by CIN-CG, said that after a former student informed her of the incident, she punished Čečović with a disciplinary measure in the amount of a 30 percent reduction in salary in November 2021.
According to CIN-CG, Vučurović demanded a statement from Čečović, who admitted everything, emphasizing that “at the time of the inappropriate messages, Sara was no longer a student at the school.” The first message was sent in June, and the graduates graduated in May.
Čečović admitted that he “crossed the line” in his relationship with the student, Vučurović stated in her response to CIN-CG. The decision on the disciplinary measure that Vučurović submitted to CIN-CG states that Čečović “expresses deep regret” for the inconvenience he caused the former student and the director, and that he believes that he “played with words too much.”
In Čečović's statement, according to CIN-CG, it is written that he refutes "with disgust" the part of the former student's complaint that refers to her suspicion that he communicates in the same way with other students.
