With full understanding of the fact that the leadership of the ministries of interior and defense are still recovering from the "spectacular" election result in Budva, I cannot help but notice the time it took for the leaders of the security sector to give us an answer to the question regarding the damage to the military aircraft during the search for Alija Balijagić, who was arrested this morning, said in a statement the MP of the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD) and representative of the European Union, Nikola Zirojević.
There is no need for you, gentlemen from the ministry, to ask me for anything, because as an MP, I took the opportunity to ask the relevant Minister of Interior, in his presence, in Parliament, at a session of the main committee, to confirm or deny the information I received. Where can you find a better and more legal option? Without any hiding, without unsigned statements - face to face in front of colleagues and citizens. The fact that the minister, in his response, did not address my questions with a single word speaks for itself, Zirojević points out.
It took the security sector, in this case the Ministry of Defense, more than 24 hours to make a statement on this issue. The product of the 24-hour work of the security sector is a short statement in 3 paragraphs, full of generalities and blanket statements, without any support from facts. Moreover, although the ministry has its own boss, the Minister of Defense, who, according to the logic of things, should communicate with the MP in public, this statement remained unsigned. If nothing else, I appreciate that Minister Krapović did not want to put his name in the signature of such a text, says the MP of the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD) and representative of the European Union, Nikola Zirojević.
Given that I am not inclined to take your word for it, I urge you to publicly publish an official note regarding the damage to the military aircraft, in order to substantiate your claims with concrete evidence. Otherwise, I will consider your statement a classic attempt to deceive the public in order to conceal the facts from them, concludes the statement by the MP of the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD) and representative of the European Union, Nikola Zirojević.
