The big Champions League final between Inter and Paris Saint-Germain is being played in Munich tonight, but a bad prelude to this match was a clash between the fans of the two teams.
Namely, a few hours before the start of the match, a fierce fight broke out in the subway.
Fans of both clubs were in the Munich subway, and numerous media outlets previously reported that everything was going smoothly and without incident. However, the situation escalated.
According to the French newspaper L'Équipe, PSG fans were attacked in the subway, and sticks were used in the fight.
"One PSG fan was injured before the police dispersed the crowd using tear gas. There was a physical clash in the subway during which tear gas was used. An investigation is underway," Munich police announced.
German Bild journalist Karl Keim reported that Inter fans threw stones at PSG supporters at Fröttmaning station, where a major fight broke out. Police responded quickly and the hooligans were escorted to the stadium.
