The results of boxer Imani Kelif’s gender test from the 2023 World Championships have reportedly been leaked, and according to media reports, the medical report suggests that the controversial Olympic champion is biologically male.
The alleged revelations come less than two days after the World Boxing Organization ruled that Kelif must undergo a gender test in order to compete in the women’s division in the future.
Kelif won the gold medal in women’s boxing representing Algeria at the Paris Games.
Kelif had previously said she planned to defend her gold medal at the Los Angeles Olympics, which will be held in three years.
The World Boxing Federation announced that it would temporarily conduct testing for the Los Angeles Games. Anyone over the age of 18 will be required to undergo a PCR test to determine gender.
