Italy suspends all football matches in tribute to Pope

The Italian Football Federation announced that all matches today have been suspended in tribute to the late Pope Francis.

The decision applies to all levels of competition – from the top flight Serie A to amateur matches.

The federation said in a statement that it "mourns the death of Pope Francis".
