The Montenegrin national football team beat the Turkish national team 3:1 tonight in Nikšić, in the match of the last, sixth round of the fourth group B of the Nations League.

The Montenegrin national team recorded its first triumph in Group B, after a series of five defeats.

It also lost two friendly matches before.

Turkey recorded its first defeat and was left without a direct placement in the A division.

The Montenegrin national team, in its best performance since Robert Prosinecki took over as coach, outplayed Turkey and said goodbye to the B division in a dignified manner.

The hero of the triumph was Nikola Krsović, who scored the first hat-trick in the Montenegrin jersey.

Goalkeeper Igor Nikić also made a great contribution, preventing a goal with excellent interventions on several occasions.

The Montenegrin team took the lead in the 29th minute - Krstović took advantage of Marko Tući's pass and beat Turkish goalkeeper Mert Gunok with a precise shot.

Just three minutes later, Marko Janković had a chance to double the lead, but Gunok saved.

Kenan Yildiz equalized the score at 1:1 in the 37th minute.

At the very end of the first half, Krstović beat Gunok with another precise shot from the edge of the penalty area and brought a new lead.

He completed the memorable evening in the 73rd minute for the final 3:1.

The Lecce striker took advantage of Ognjen Gašević's cross and effectively headed past Gunok.

Turkey, which came to Nikšić as the group leader without a defeat, had several great chances, but failed to realize them.

In the 66th minute, Yunas Akgun had the lead, but Nikić made a great save.

Ismail Juksek also had a chance six minutes later, but he was just a little off target.

In the second match of our group, Wales defeated Iceland 4:1 in Cardiff and won the A division as the first place team in the group.
