Today in Košice, Montenegrin handball players defeated Slovakia 38:35 in the match of the second round of the second group of qualifiers for the European Championship.
At the start of the qualification, Montenegro beat Finland 29:28, while Slovakia was defeated by Hungary 37:32 in Djer.
Montenegro was leading for the most part, and reached three points nine seconds before going to the locker room, when Aleksandar Bakić scored in 21:18.
In the 43rd minute, there were five differences for the first time - 29:24, and we managed to keep the advantage until the end.
After two rounds, Hungary and Montenegro are at the top of Group 2 with four points each.
Qualification for the European Championship continues in March next year, when our team will play two games against Hungary on the 12th and 15th of that month.
The two best teams will advance to the European Championship.
