Harris raised $633 million

AUTHOR: M.J. GDNUS
Democratic candidate for president of the USA Kamala Harris and organizations close to her collected 633 million dollars for her campaign, reports the Associated Press.
Thus, the total amount allocated to the pre-election campaign exceeded one billion dollars and gives it a significant advantage over the Republican opponent Donald Trump, just two weeks before the election.
The Democratic National Committee raised $360 million in September alone, while the campaign raised $222 million in the same month. Kamala Harris' team spent about $270 million last month, more than expected, to reach voters through radio, television, online, billboards and other means.
The Harris campaign reported large monthly totals that far exceeded those raised by Trump and the Republicans.
Democrats bragged about figures from this year's third quarter, 95 percent of donations given to Harris were under $200. About six million donors gave more than $13 million, including 4.3 million people who donated for the first time this election cycle.
The vice president's team announced that she raised $55 million in one weekend in late September in California.
She raised $28 million at an event in Los Angeles that was attended by a host of stars including Jessica Alba, Lily Tomlin and Stevie Wonder.
She also raised $27 million during an event in San Francisco attended by former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
