US President Donald Trump said at a White House briefing that he would "without a doubt" attack Iran again if Tehran began enriching uranium to a worrying level.
Meanwhile, additional information is coming in about the statements of the head of the controversial humanitarian organization Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is supported by the US and Israel. The organization has come under criticism after several incidents in which Palestinians were killed near aid points.
Johnny Moore, a representative of the GHF, told the BBC that he did not deny that there were casualties near the aid distribution points, but added that it was "completely untrue" that all these cases were directly linked to their organization.
Moore also accused the United Nations and other international organizations of spreading information that they could not verify, he told the BBC.
He told Sky News that there was a “campaign of disinformation” and that “some circles” were spreading false information every day.
According to the UN, at least 410 Palestinians have been killed while trying to access food since Israel lifted an 11-week humanitarian blockade on May 19. The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry put the number at at least 549.
On Friday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sharply criticized the GHF, calling its aid system “fundamentally unsafe.”
“Any operation that forces desperate civilians into militarized zones poses a serious risk. The search for food never fails to be deadly,” Guterres said.
