US President Donald Trump said that Serbian authorities were preparing to start a war with Kosovo, but that the United States managed to prevent the outbreak of the conflict.
"You know, Serbia was preparing to start a war... they said: 'We're going to start a war again.' They wanted to start a big war. We stopped it thanks to trade," he said during a speech in the Oval Office.
According to Trump, Serbia is interested in trade relations with the United States.
"I said we don't trade with people who are waging war," the American leader said.
