Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed an order terminating the agreement with Sweden on the exchange of information about nuclear facilities and on timely notification of a nuclear accident.
The document was published on the official and legal information portal, RIA Novosti reports.
"In accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 37 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation On International Treaties, the Agreement between the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Government of Sweden on timely notification of a nuclear accident and on the exchange of information about nuclear facilities, signed in January 1988, is hereby terminated," the document states.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has been instructed to notify the Swedish side of the decision, N1 reports.
