Ukraine: Russia attacked Kiev with drones

AUTHOR: M.J. GDNUS
Russia attacked Kiev for the second night in a row with several waves of drones, damaging residential buildings and injuring at least one civilian, Ukrainian officials said today.
Ukraine's military said air defenses shot down 59 of 116 Russian drones launched overnight.
The army, as they announced, lost track of 45 drones that probably fell on Ukrainian territory, Radio Free Europe reports.
"Another night, another worry," said the head of the Kyiv military administration, Sergei Popko, on Telegram.
"The enemy is not reducing the intensity of air attacks on Ukraine and Kiev," Popko said.
The military said several attacks hit civilian infrastructure.
Popko stated that about ten drones were destroyed that were targeting Kiev in several waves and from different directions.
"Although none of the weapons hit the target, the falling debris injured at least one man," said Popko.
Mayor Vitaly Klitschko stated on Telegram that debris fell on three main districts of Kyiv, damaging some roofs and facades of several residential buildings.
As a result of the attack, the roof of a multi-story residential building was damaged, the windows were broken, and one apartment was partially destroyed, the Kyiv regional administration announced.
The attack followed Russian strikes on Kiev and other cities on Sunday that injured 17 people in the city in central Ukraine.
In Kharkiv, an eastern Ukrainian region on the border with Russia, at least 12 people were injured overnight after Russia launched guided aerial bombs, the national police said on Telegram.
Several residential buildings were damaged, according to the announcement.
