Soldiers of the Defense Intelligence Service of Ukraine claim that for the first time in history they destroyed a Russian Mi-8 helicopter during a battle in the Black Sea using a Magura V5 naval strike drone.
According to the Ukrinform agency, this was announced by the Defense Intelligence Service of Ukraine on Facebook.
On the morning of December 31, soldiers of the 13th Group of the Defense Intelligence Service of Ukraine hit an air target using a Magura V5 naval strike drone equipped with missile weapons.
During the battle in the Black Sea near Cape Tarkhankut on the Crimean peninsula, a Russian Mi-8 helicopter was destroyed by R-73 Sea Dragon missiles.
Another helicopter of the same type was hit by fire and managed to reach its home airfield, the Ukrainian intelligence service said.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, the DIU and the Tavria separate airborne unit destroyed the headquarters of Russian forces in the Zaporozhye region.
