Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement on the social network X following another Russian strike.
He stated that "this was one of the largest air attacks – deliberately massive and cynical."
He said that a total of 550 targets were launched, including at least 330 Russian-Iranian “Shaheds,” along with missiles, including ballistic ones.
“It is noteworthy that the first air raid alerts in our cities and regions began to sound almost simultaneously with media reports about the phone conversation between Presidents Trump and Putin. Once again, Russia is showing that it has no intention of ending the war and terror. The air raid alert in Kyiv only ended around 9 a.m. today. It was a brutal, sleepless night,” Zelensky wrote.
The capital was the primary target of the Russian strike, but the Dnipro, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions were also hit.
“So far, it is known that 23 people were injured. Medical assistance is being provided to all.
All of this is clear evidence that without truly significant pressure, Russia will not change its senseless, destructive behavior. For every such strike on people and human lives, it must feel the consequences in the form of sanctions and other blows to its economy, its revenue, and its infrastructure. That is the only way to quickly bring about a positive change. And that depends on our partners, above all the United States,” Zelensky emphasized.
