Ćulafić: Injac to replace the management of NB "Radosav Ljumović"

After the public library "Radosav Ljumović" organized last night the author's evening of Nenad Milkić and Mihailo Medenica, member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the Assembly of the Capital City, Biljana Ćulafić, reacted.

We remind you that Milkić is the author of several novels ("Column", "Bones", "My Name is Dunja", "Distimija" and the trilogy "We defended the Baskets"), in which, according to him, the genesis is described of hatred, conflict and suffering of Serbs during the wars in the territory of the former SFRY, and Mihailo Medenica is a journalist and commentator, occasional columnist of the pro-Russian-Serbian portal IN4S, one of the founders of which is the current rector of the University of Montenegro, Vladimir Božović.

She called on the mayor of Podgorica, Olivera Injac, to dismiss the management of the "Radosav Ljumović" library.

The new management and leadership of the National Library are not surprising. They are organizing a literary evening where a certain Nenad Milikić and Mihailo Medenece will be presented, whose "literary works" are not recommended by aesthetic criteria and universal human values, but by national chauvinist ideas, hatred of other nations, Great Serbian myths and misconceptions. These people and events will not make exceptional Serbian literature smaller, but they are an attack on multi-ethnic Podgorica and the premises of the Library named after the Spanish fighter, poet and anti-fascist Radosav Ljumović - said Ćulafić.

Mayor Injac added that she expects the interest of all citizens of Podgorica and respect for their centuries-old commitment to common life to be more important than loose and unprincipled coalition agreements and personal interests, and that those responsible for this big mistake be removed.

A member of the Library Council said that in the previous period the Library was a bastion of one ideology and party. He said, and continued, only darker - said Ćulafić.
