Božović: The strike of educators in about 160 schools will begin tomorrow

SOURCE: POBJEDA / M.J.
The strike of educators starts tomorrow - announced the president of the Education Union, Radomir Božović, after the end of their meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI).
As he specified, the strike will take place in around 160 schools, and how the teaching will be defined will depend on the principal - because in some schools there are teachers who will not strike.
As Božović pointed out, the class elders have already informed the children that they will not be coming to school tomorrow.
Kindergartens will work regularly, perhaps, as he added, the work will be shortened by only an hour.
Without MiF representatives
Božović pointed out that there were no representatives of the Ministry of Finance (MiF) at the meeting with the MPNI, to whom they had previously sent proposals.
They didn't get any answers to that.
After the meeting with the Trade Union, a group of Montenegrin school directors entered the premises of the MPNI, which they invited to a meeting today at 6 p.m. They told Pojjeda that they did not know what the exact topic of the meeting was.
A group of directors met with the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, around 3:00 p.m. For now, there is no information about what the minister discussed with that group of directors.
MPNI previously invited the Education Union to continue the dialogue in order to find a systemic and sustainable solution, taking into account the interests of children and parents.
As announced by MPNI, on Friday, they repeated the offer of the Ministry of Finance and the Government to the representatives of the Education Union, which includes an increase in the salary of educators in the net amount of at least 15 percent.
That increase, as announced, would begin to be applied no later than the end of the third quarter of the current year.
The President of the Education Union, Radomir Božović, said at a press conference on Friday that announcing the strike does not close the door to negotiations.
