The message that the Government is sending to the citizens is very worrying, a message of anarchy and revanchism, a message that those who are not politically ideologically eligible must be afraid. Nikola Rakočević, a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), said this as a guest on 24 hours of Television E, commenting on the fact that the Administrative Court annulled the Government's decision to dismiss Zoran Brđanin from the position of director of the Police Directorate, as well as the Government's decision to terminate the mandate of Valentina Pavličić, the representative of Montenegro Above before the European Court of Human Rights.
- It is also about frivolity and irresponsibility, about bad intentions towards the system, towards individuals who are politically unfit, whether they are being dismissed outside the law, or whether they are being detained without clear arguments and evidence - Rakočević said.
He noted that, as he says, only one question will be asked in the final.
- Who will pay the price? Who will pay the price for the dismissal of Brđanin, who will pay the price for the dismissal of Pavličić, who will pay the price when tomorrow it is established that the innocent are in custody - Katnić, Lazović, Perović and so on - he points out.
He adds that responsibility for, as he says, bad and irresponsible behavior must be taken by all power holders, including prosecutorial and judicial authorities.
Commenting on the Intergovernmental Conference and the expected positive IBAR, he says that we will not wake up in the country of the rule of law, because at every step, as he assesses, the Government violates human rights and sends the message that it selectively deals with the politically unfit.
He adds that the European Commission and the European Union must strengthen their geopolitical position and, in the midst of several war conflicts in the world, send a message that the door to the EU is open.
- This is precisely why Montenegro has a chance to be the first next member of the European Union, and not because our authorities are capable of governing the country in a proper way, and that our authorities are capable of, if nothing else, respecting court decisions - he emphasized. Rakočević.
According to him, IBAR is just a dead letter if some things do not change.
A session of the Montenegrin Parliament was announced on Friday - and this, the DPS deputy explains, on a Viber group by the President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić.
- So much for respecting the parliament, so much for respecting the opposition, but above all and above all respecting the citizens of Montenegro - he said.
Rakočević said that he is not surprised that, as he states, those who tried with all their being to make Montenegro a state, and are in power for the first time, are trying to humiliate the state and its citizens.
- We won't let them do that! Certainly, no individual, no political party that cares about national interests will allow the announcement of changes to the Constitution, dual citizenship, the resolution on Jasenovac... at the moment when it will block our European path, that is, playing with the European perspective of Montenegro - emphasized the DPS deputy -a.
If there is no resolution on Jasenovac in the Parliament by the end of June, Milan Knežević and his DNP will leave the government, and that would also mean the exit of Andrija Mandić from the government - reminded Rakočević.
- We are waiting for Friday and the session of the Assembly, and we will define the answer in accordance with what we judge to be good for Montenegro and its citizens - said Rakočević.
As before, DPS, celebrating its birthday, is focused not on the party, but on the state, on the vision of Montenegro in the coming period, says Rakočević. He believes that the attributes of statehood are under attack, the symbols of independence are about to be attacked.
- When DPS protects them, it can find points of convergence with many political subjects, namely Montenegro in the West, civil and anti-fascist, Montenegro that can achieve investments and economic growth - concluded Rakočević.
