The private preschool institution Montessori Zvono from Nikšić, which evidently abused children and exceeded its powers and responsibilities by turning the kindergarten into a religious institution and introducing wine among the children, must be properly sanctioned, said the Social Democrats (SD) from that city.
They assess that such an institution should not have a license to operate, considering the seriousness of the offense and the clear legal norms.
In addition, the responsible management of the kindergarten will never, as is clearly the case here, use the socio-political moment to propagate their own attitudes and beliefs, but will maintain quality and professionalism in every situation - emphasized the SD in Nikšić.
They believe that this preschool institution had to function on the basis of an educational program approved by the National Council for Education, on the basis of which program it was licensed, and as they pointed out, religious ceremonies are certainly not part of the above - since the law clearly stipulates that: "In a public institution and an institution that has been granted a concession for the implementation of a publicly valid educational program is education and upbringing of a secular character. In the institution referred to in paragraph 1 of this article, religious activities are not allowed except in institutions that are licensed as secondary religious schools."
In addition, the fact that someone else, in addition to the educator, took on this role is also very questionable, although the law clearly stipulates that the educational work in the institution is performed by: teachers, educators, professional associates, teaching assistants and other performers of educational work, With the law. Well, if religious persons do not have the knowledge, skills and licenses to work with preschoolers, it is clear that we have another flagrant violation of the regulations - the SD from Nikšić pointed out.
If the authorities remain silent on such actions of educational institutions, the Social Democrats of Nikšić believe that this will be interpreted as an invitation to all others to violate regulations and abuse children with no or minimal sanctions.
Precisely because we are witnessing social chaos, it is inadmissible to allow the socio-political atmosphere to be used by those who are supposed to correct it, and such behavior requires decisive sanctions - they concluded in the announcement.
