SD: The conditions for conducting the census have been created, we invite citizens to express themselves

In the previous period, with the agreement of the opposition with Prime Minister Spajić, all the control mechanisms necessary for quality implementation of the census were agreed upon. Those control mechanisms have been adequately implemented and we can state with satisfaction that the conditions have been met for the population census to begin - said the Social Democrats.
It is important, as stated by this party, to remind that just a month ago, after the new government was elected, we started from scratch.
The opposition did not have a single control mechanism on the basis of which we could monitor the implementation of the census and, ultimately, the entry of the obtained data and their publication. Today, we have representatives in all census commissions, instructors and enumerators chosen on a parity basis, the obligation to manually count a certain sample of data, as well as all the preconditions for creating reliable software with which all citizens will be able to check the accuracy of the entered data - emphasized the SD -a.
On the other hand, bearing in mind the overall situation regarding the census, the calls for a boycott at a time when there was not even a word about the census with the previous Government, as well as their justified doubts that in a short period of time adequate conditions can be created for its maintenance, fully understand the doubt of a certain number of people in this process.
And yet, bearing in mind the current situation, all the control mechanisms we have come up with and, finally, such an atmosphere in which the opposition will be able to fully control its implementation, we appreciate that participation in the census is in the interest of citizens of Montenegro. Therefore, we invite all citizens to express themselves in the census, in order to obtain valid data for the creation of numerous development policies, and we invite the competent authorities to, given the weather (un)opportunities, provide enumerators and instructors with adequate conditions for conducting the census - said the SD -a.
