Rockford in the state of Illinois is increasingly recognized for its increasingly poor city administration, which does not fulfill its obligations to citizens, while city services are characterized by complete professionalism.
Yesterday, due to the theft of our fellow citizen Ryan Lowery's phone, the police in action showed their unprofessionalism and inability to protect the citizens of Rockford. Lowery reported the theft, and he waited for the police to arrive for a full 5 hours. It turned out to be in vain, even though he himself knew who the perpetrator of that criminal act was. This is just one of the bad examples that must concern every resident of Rockford, because their safety and property is at risk. This example shows how unprepared the police, led by Carla Redd-police chief, are to meet their obligations and to the citizens, whose taxes are used to finance them, to ensure safety and security. The police itself is staffed by impeccable professionals, but Reed's mismanagement tarnishes the institution's reputation. The problem is that due to bad management, the best police officers and officers leave the police every day. The situation is similar in the fire service, whose employees perform their work in the best possible way, but without the support of the city administration. Mayor Tom McNamara shows the characteristics of arrogance, untouchability and unprofessionalism. Rockford has never been worse than it is now with McNamara at its helm. With his ignorance and arrogance, he is ruining the reputation of the city, and the institutions and companies managed by the local government are brought to the brink of ruin. Rockford is a city steeped in crime, has a high unemployment rate, and is one of the most unsafe in all of Illinois. The city's infrastructure is completely destroyed, there are no investments, and social services are collapsing, as are the health and education systems. In addition, McNamara is unavailable to his citizens, who want to get answers to all the problems he is causing under him.
Unlike him, near Rockford in the city of Loves Park, the situation is completely different. All services function flawlessly. An example of good leadership can be seen in Mayor Gregory Jury, who is always available to his citizens and who takes care of their needs and the functioning of the city in detail. Exceptional professionalism is also reflected in the very communication with the employees in the office of Mayor Jury. Special praise also goes to the professional attitude of his secretary, Sandra Wolfe, who can serve as an example of how this work should be done and, together with the mayor, represents the image of a successful city.
