The elections for the president of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee will be held on October 25, and exactly one month before the Assembly, two candidates for the leadership position are known - Dušan Simonović and Katarina Bulatović.
The long-time first man of the umbrella institution of Montenegrin sports was nominated by eight national federations, while the current COK sports director was proposed by the Basketball, Handball and Table Tennis Federations.
The application deadline is tonight, and it is possible that it will be extended due to waiting for the mail, but it is quite certain that there will be only two candidates.
It is necessary for the COK Verification Commission to first determine the correctness of the documentation for both candidates, and then for the Management Board to confirm the candidacies and forward them to the Assembly for approval.
The COK Assembly has 52 delegates, of which 36 have the right to vote in the election of the president - two each from the Olympic sports federations and from the Club of Montenegrin Olympians and athletes, chosen from among themselves by the members of the Sports Commission.
