German coach Thomas Tuchel will be the new coach of England, "The Times" reports.
British media report that representatives of the Football Association (FA) are in negotiations with Tuchel, who is ready to take over the England national team. The German coach is currently without an engagement, as he terminated his contract with Bayern at the end of last season.
Before Bayern, Tuchel (51) coached Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Mainz.
England's interim coach Lee Carsley said a few days ago that the national team needs a first-class coach. Yesterday it seemed that the new coach of Gordy Albion could be Pep Guardiola, but obviously the negotiations between the FA and the Spanish strategist did not go as hoped on the Island.
Carsley took over England after Gareth Southgate left the position of coach in mid-July, after losing to Spain (1:2) in the European final. The experiment with the former Scotland international did not work out since Gordy Albion does not excel in the B division of the Nations League.
