United States Vice President J.D. Vance said today that a date is being determined when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin could sit down at the negotiating table and talk about ending the war.
Vance stated that it would not be "productive" for such a meeting to take place before the two leaders meet with US President Donald Trump, Fox News reports.
He added that the US will continue an "open dialogue" with Ukraine and Zelensky.
Trump previously announced that he would meet with Putin in Alaska on August 15, but that he was also open to it being a trilateral meeting in which Zelensky would also participate.
