A rocket was fired at Israel from Yemen: Sirens sounded, passengers fled to the shelter at Ben Gurion Airport

AUTHOR: M.J.
A long-range rocket fired in Yemen fell today on the territory of central Israel, the Israeli army announced.
The attack, which took place early this morning, caused sirens to sound, but there were no reports of casualties or damage. The military said the sound of explosions in the area came from interceptors.
Israeli media published a video of passengers fleeing to a shelter at Ben Gurion Airport. Images have also been released of what appears to be a fragment of a missile or interceptor, which fell on an escalator at a train station in the central Israeli city of Modiin.
Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels have repeatedly fired drones and missiles at Israel since the start of the nearly year-long war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, but so far almost all have been intercepted over the Red Sea.
