According to the latest information, 600 buildings have been flooded in the Prijedor area, and the situation is increasingly alarming.

As stated by the acting director of the Civil Protection of the Republika Srpska, Boris Trninić. Fortunately, no one's life is in danger.

"Teams of the Republic Civil Protection Administration with several boats and crew members are on the ground and are assisting territorial fire and rescue units in two local communities in extracting or transferring citizens from their homes to areas that are not flooded," said Trninić.

The most critical situation is in the settlements of Tukovi and Gomjenica.

After a meeting of the emergency headquarters, the mayor of Prijedor, Slobodan Javor, told RTRS that the previous night in this city was very difficult and that the Gomjenica River, whose level is 6.20 meters, is causing the greatest problems.

During the night, 12 locals were evacuated. The most critical situation is currently at the Blagaj and Svodna stations, given that the Sana River is still rising. As for the Una River, it does not pose a threat to the railway infrastructure for the time being.
