The Palestinian Civil Defense announced on Thursday that Israeli airstrikes on tents housing displaced people killed 25 people in several locations in the Gaza Strip.
"At least 16 people were killed, mostly women and children, and 23 others were injured after two Israeli missiles directly hit several tents housing displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis" in the southern Palestinian territory, Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal told AFP.
In a second strike on a tent for displaced people, in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, seven people were killed, "mostly women and children," and 13 were wounded, he added.
A child and his father were also killed and 13 people were injured in a third attack on a tent settlement, also near the Al-Mawasi area, he said.
The Israeli military, contacted by AFP, has not yet commented on the report.
