"I have arrived," Milorad Dodik wrote on X last night, three hours after midnight. However, the President of Republika Srpska, for whom a search was launched, did not specify where he had arrived. Several of his party colleagues, including the mayor of Jezero Municipality, Snežana Ružičić, published welcoming messages along with archive photos. The media in Banja Luka were told that Dodik had "private obligations" and would not be appearing in public.
However, several sources close to Dodik told Istragu.ba that the President of Republika Srpska had traveled from Belgrade to Moscow. According to the same sources, he is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin there on Tuesday.
Since the government plane of Republika Srpska is still "parked" in Banja Luka, it is clear that Dodik used another plane to travel to Moscow. Let's repeat, at three o'clock our time he announced that he had "arrived". According to data from the Moscow airport, at 4:10 local time a plane from Belgrade landed.
Given that the time difference between BiH and Russia is two hours, 4:10 in the morning Moscow time was 2:10 in BiH time. Dodik announced that he had "arrived" at exactly three o'clock - that is, about 50 minutes after the plane landed from Belgrade in Moscow.
Why did Dodik travel to Moscow by regular flight?
Three days ago, the Court of BiH ordered the issuance of an international arrest warrant for Milorad Dodik. At the time of publication of the text, the Secretary General of Interpol had not yet approved the issuance of the arrest warrant, and the final decision should be made in the next few days. If Interpol issues an international arrest warrant, there is a high probability that the plane of the Government of Republika Srpska, in which Dodik would be, would be prevented from flying over NATO member states. In that case, the plane would remain "trapped" in Moscow. That's why Dodik decided to travel on a regular flight.
In that case, the passenger list, writes Istraga.ba, is known only to Russia and Serbia, that is, the countries from which the plane takes off and lands. Traveling on a regular flight almost guarantees Dodik a return to Belgrade, even if Interpol subsequently approves the arrest warrant.
It is also clear that the Serbian authorities will not arrest Milorad Dodik on the warrant from BiH, and he, as has already been shown, crosses the border between BiH and Serbia without any problems.
Let us recall that the BiH Prosecutor's Office is investigating the President of RS Milorad Dodik on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of attacking the constitutional order. It has issued a warrant for his arrest, but no police agency in BiH is allowed to carry out that warrant. After that, a central search was issued for Dodik, which is valid only within BiH. In the meantime, the Court of BiH ordered the issuance of an international arrest warrant, but the final decision is made by the Secretary General of Interpol.
Despite the fact that he is wanted within Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dodik recently traveled to Israel, where he participated in a conference on anti-Semitism. He returned from Israel on Friday morning.
According to the Investigation, Dodik has promised to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. The meeting is being organized by Duško Perović, head of the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Russia.
