Spectacular New Year's Eve 2025 celebrations were held all over the world, with numerous musical programs and spectacular fireworks. Among the first to enter the New Year were the residents of Australia, and the most magnificent fireworks display was held in Sydney this time as well. It was magnificent in European capitals, including the Balkans. Our editorial team visited Sarajevo, toured several hotels where festive celebrations were held, and the Square in front of the eternal flame, where Sarajevans and guests of this city welcomed the New Year with Severina's concert.
In front of the Eternal Fire, with her supporting orchestra consisting of ten musicians, Severina took the stage half an hour before midnight and for the next two and a half hours delighted the audience filled to capacity on one of the main streets in Sarajevo. According to the Ministry of Interior, the figure of more than fifty-five thousand people is the record attendance that a performer had at a concert held in front of the Eternal Fire.
The carefully selected repertoire consisted of about thirty of Severina's greatest hits, and especially for this occasion she expanded it with some of her favorite songs such as "Sarajevo, ljubavi moja" by Kemal Monten, with which she ushered the people of Sarajevo and their numerous guests, in a custom made costume by Juraj Zigman, into the New Year 2025. Just before, she was joined on stage by the mayor of Sarajevo, Predrag Puharić.
