Milo Đukanović, DPS presidential candidate and current President of Montenegro, commented on the current performances of DF candidate Andrija Mandić at the pre-election forum in Kolašin.
We are witnessing an endearing version of the leader of the Democratic Front, who presents himself as a peacemaker, a man of love, which we would all welcome with great pleasure. But of course we have to really seriously ask ourselves, because of the political legacy of the leader of the Democratic Front, whether this is really so. It wasn't that long ago when, in his experience, Montenegro was a state-like creation that resembles an organized state as much as a humanoid monkey resembles a monkey. Let's not go back deeper into the past, let's just remember his statement from a year ago when he said that Serbs across the border of Serbia welcome the project of a "Serbian world", and Serbs in Montenegro are working on its realization... So, Serbs in Montenegro led by the leader of the Democratic Front, work in the interest of the realization of Greater Serbia. We who listen a little more carefully to these messages conclude: it works in favor of the disappearance of Montenegro. There is no Greater Serbia that does not annex Montenegro - said Đukanović.
As he stated, complex revanchism in the past two and a half years was the only ideology that guided the new government, nothing else.
They searched everything that could be searched in the archives and the legacy of our very long and well-deserved exercise of power in Montenegro. Even after two and a half years of dedication to this, to this day there is no indictment against any of our representatives in the executive and legislative authorities - said Đukanović.
Đukanović said that for the last two and a half years, the policy led by the "liberators" was reduced to manipulation and deception.
There are three dominant manipulations in their politics. Firstly, that Montenegro is a fried economy. Second, that Montenegro is an anti-Serb state. And thirdly, that Montenegro is a country of crime and corruption. All three are really serious fabrications that hardly anyone who is at all benevolent and realistic could attribute to Montenegro.
Of course, Montenegro was not a fried economy during our management of Montenegro. Montenegro was the most dynamic economy in Southeast Europe, and thanks to that became the most developed economy of our region, which we have never been in our history, now we are thanks to our host management of Montenegro and its economy. Montenegro was also never anti-Serb, so it is not today either. Montenegro has always been and will remain a friend of Serbia and the Serbian people. Montenegro is the enemy of Greater Serbian nationalism, because Greater Serbian nationalism wants to annihilate Montenegro. And finally, Montenegro is really far from the epithet that it is a criminalized country - said Đukanović.
The president said that this is also the time of the campaign in which, as he points out, attempts are being made to present his political competitors in an unconvincing and untrustworthy manner, and then he spoke about the new edition of the "lovable leader of the Democratic Front".
He also spoke about Kolašin as the focal point of the new development and investment cycle.
Today, we are all proud that Kolašin is the focal point of the new investment and development cycle of Montenegro. What Tivat was a few years ago is today Kolašin. And as we know very well, that it did not come from nowhere, it came thanks to a thoughtful and systematic and responsible policy - said Đukanović.
