Šaranović will not be touched

AUTHOR:M.J. GDNUS
The residents of Pavino Polje and Tomaševo announced, in an open letter to the leaders of the state, a blockade of the Bijelo Polje-Mojkovac road in the town of Slijepač Most if their demands are not met, motivated by the double murder in the village of Sokolac on October 25, and the still unsuccessful pursuit of the suspect who killed Jovan and Milenko Madžgalj.
The protest logo could be used to conclude that the gathering will take place tomorrow at noon, although the text sent to Jakov Milatović, Andrija Mandić, Milojko Spajić and Danilo Šaranović only mentions a five-day deadline for meeting the demands of the residents of Vraneška dolina.
And, in that letter, it is first assessed that the tragedy occurred "exclusively due to the ignorance of the Police Administration officers" and concludes that "this ignorance caused their inability to react in a timely manner and prevent the murder".
Therefore, they demand the resignations of the following officials:
- The Director of the Police Administration, his assistants and all directors of the UP directorates;
- The Head of the Regional Center "North" and his assistants from all sectors;
- The Commander of the Police of General Jurisdiction and his assistants;
- The Head of the Criminal Police and the Security Center Bijelo Polje;
- They also demand that checks be carried out on the employees of the Police Administration and in other regional security centers.
- The letter, which is not signed by the residents (?!) of Pavino Polje and Tomaševo but by the presidents of these local communities, conspicuously does not demand the responsibility of the Minister of Internal Affairs Danilo Šaranović.
- The letter emphasizes that the requests have no political background or connotations, and that they do not want to cause any national or religious divisions, noting that there has been no reaction from religious communities and their representatives regarding the tragedy in Sokolac.
"We emphasize that our demands have nothing to do with politics, nor are they aimed at provoking divisions on national and religious grounds, although after the event there was no timely condemnation of religious communities and their representatives for the same, while in the previous period their reactions were immediate and for less important matters compared to the atrocities committed, which we in any case do not resent, but remember." The fact is, however, that this address to the highest state addresses and the Minister of the Interior was preceded by the announcement of protests and road blockades in many media outlets. Particularly attention was drawn to the text on the well-known incitement portal In4s, under the title "Police Administration in the Jaws of the Mafia", in which senior police officers were targeted on the basis of national and religious affiliation and it was insinuated that in the Bijelo Polje municipality "there is intensive activity by individuals of the Bosniak and Muslim people, supported by certain political centers of power, to cause unrest and disrupt multiethnic and multiconfessional harmony in this area".
