Živković: I believe in the strength of the DPS, we must maintain political relevance in the parliamentary elections

The newly elected acting president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković, said that his appointment at the head of the DPS represents a great responsibility for him, who until now was the head of the club of deputies.
Taking responsibility in this complex time is not easy. But by assuming these responsibilities, I believe that it will result in DPS taking over the exercise of socio-political responsibility. Parliamentary elections are scheduled for June 11, and we need to maintain our political relevance, and we will be the party that will win the largest number of votes - Živković pointed out.
He thanked his party colleagues for the support he received.
This is a complicated moment, but I believe in the strength of DPS - said Živković.
When asked whether he will be the leader of the list in the upcoming extraordinary parliamentary elections scheduled for June 11, the newly elected acting the president of the DPS expressed his belief that the trust of the voters can be restored.

Speaking about whether he has the ambition to run for president of Montenegro in the future, he said that it is not his ambition at the moment, and that it is a question he will think about.
Danijel Živković was born on August 15, 1987 in Pljevlja. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and specialized in constitutional law and politics.
He started his work experience as a freelance consultant III - trainee, in the Personnel Affairs Service of the Municipality of Pljevlja, and continued in the Coal Mine AD Pljevlja, as a legal affairs officer in the Legal Affairs Service. He also performed the duties of Independent Advisor III - for personnel affairs in the Service for Personnel Affairs and Human Resources, Municipality of Pljevlja.
He was also a councilor in the Pljevlja Municipal Assembly from 2014, where he was a member of the Selection and Appointments Committee, as well as a member of the Statute and Regulations Committee, as well as the president of the Committee Club DPS, SD, BS Pljevlja.
Since July 1, 2017, he has been a member of the Parliament of Montenegro, where in the 26th convocation he is a member of the Constitutional Committee, the Legislative Committee and the Committee for Political System, Judiciary and Administration.
He is the current head of the Club of Representatives of the DPS of Montenegro, a member of the Constitutional Committee, a member of the Anti-Corruption Committee, a member of the Commission for Monitoring and Control of the Privatization Process, a member of the Parliamentary Committee for Stabilization and Association (POSP), as well as a member of the Committee for Political System, Justice and Administration.
In addition to all of the above, as a long-term member of the DPS, he performed various party functions. He was the president of the Youth Council of DPS Pljevlja, a member of the OO and IO of DPS Pljevlja, as well as a member of the Main Board of the Democratic Party of Socialists.
We would like to remind you that at today's meeting, the GO DPS accepted the resignation of president Milo Đukanović and unanimously supported his successor as Danijel Živković, who will perform the function in acting capacity. condition.
