A group of citizens organizes a protest in front of the Government on May 9: There is no playing with the future of Montenegro

A group of citizens announced that on Tuesday, May 9 at 6 p.m., they will hold a "We are Europe" protest in front of the Government of Montenegro, symbolically linked to EU Day.
Citizens will turn to the representatives of the Government of Montenegro, which received the trust to work on the EU agenda and further integration, to remind them of everything that was the main reason for the trust.
The government of Mr. Abazović does not have the support and trust of the citizens, due to the direct threat of Montenegro's integration into the European Union when there were historically good conditions for that, during 2022, when the EU opened its doors to Montenegro. Instead of devoting himself to this task of general interest, Abazovic committed a number of serious acts in violation of the laws and the Constitution and threatened our further progressive path towards the EU. Mr. Jakov Milatović strongly joins him in this mission of destroying the Montenegrin EU perspective, by constantly insisting on the disastrous entry into the Open Balkans. This kind of agenda is not a priority for Montenegrin citizens - the statement of the group of citizens states.
According to their assessment, the security situation has been unfavorable for a certain period of time due to the influence of groups that spread intolerance and hatred, which escalate with incidents and serious violence.
We have been witnessing such situations intensively lately, and various brotherhoods of the Church of Serbia have some influence in these activities. On this occasion, we also ask the competent authorities to protect citizens and to start dealing with the causes of increased violence. They already bear part of the responsibility, due to the fact that bullies are not adequately treated and feel protected. On this occasion, we invite them to seriously understand the determination of citizens that, using all legal and democratic methods, they will not give up on EU integration and further monitoring the work of all those who perform public duties and make up the government. There is no game with the future of Montenegro and those who come - said a group of citizens.
