Antena M publishes a letter from General Lazarevic to the members of the SOB: Minister Krapovic is collapsing the combat readiness of the VCG

DOWNLOADED: ANTENA M / AUTHOR: M.J. GDNUS

Antena M exclusively publishes a letter from the Chief of the General Staff of the Montenegrin Army, Brigadier General Zoran Lazarevic, addressed to the members of the Council for Defense and Security, the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic, the Speaker of the Parliament Andrija Mandić and the Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, in which he explains the problems he has in cooperation with the Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović and what harmful consequences arise from it.

As a reminder, Antena M announced that Krapović banned Chief of General Staff Zoran Lazarević from all activities abroad with the explanation that he no longer has the credibility to represent the Army of Montenegro.

Lazarevic informs the members of the SOB that, as he said, the Minister of Defense Dragan Krapovic has, as he said, unlawfully and harmfully ordered that all the activities of the Chief of General Staff abroad be removed from the Work Plan of the Army of Montenegro for October of the current year. Lazarević states that Krapović is doing this unfounded, deliberate, and continuously, trying to present the work of Army units, as well as his work, as low-quality, unproductive and insufficiently professional, all in a manner that does not befit a defense minister.

"I try to deal with all his bad influences, but this gesture of prohibition is something that my honor and dignity as an officer does not allow me to pass," says Lazarevic.

Lazarević also states that Krapović kept the amendments to the Law on the Armed Forces in a drawer unnecessarily for almost a year, and it foresees numerous advantages for improving the standard of living of members of the Armed Forces, starting with solving the housing problem, faster introduction of young people into the defense system, simpler procedures for the movement of personnel in service and promotion to higher ranks, etc.

"These claims are best confirmed, unfortunately, by the reality where nearly 100 young people applied for the last competition for contract soldiers, to fill 28 positions, but in the end, almost six months later, only 20 people answered the call. I have repeatedly pointed out to the unbearable slowness of the administration, but even that was not understood. The worst thing is that because of the low salaries, we have soldiers leaving the Army on a daily basis, because their salary is only 630 euros," Lazarevic stated, among other things, in the letter.

Lazarevic also says that Krapovic is trying to take over the role of Chief of the General Staff with repressive measures, and so he ordered the immediate return of an officer from Brussels because of his allegedly inappropriate story about him as a minister, and no one knows the details.
