As Marko Vešović spoke about Radovan Karadžić, Montenegrins and Serbs...

Marko Vešović was a special writer and professor who lived quietly, peacefully, and left even more quietly. Although perhaps forgotten by many, he did not expose himself much in the last years of his life. Vešović loved Sarajevo and in his own way resisted the aggressor, writes klix.ba.
In this context, it is particularly interesting how Vešović wrote and spoke about the character of the war criminal Radovan Karadžić. Both Karadžić and Vešović are originally from Montenegro, before the war they hung out intensively, so Vešović's comments in that context are very precise and original.
Because of his views, Vešović was accused of being a traitor to the Serbian race, which he cleverly commented on.
"I am a Montenegrin, but whenever someone counts me as a Serb so that they can spit on me, I temporarily become a Serb as well," said Vešović immediately after the start of the aggression.
He then admitted that he was a "traitor to the Serbian people".
"And I confess, I am a traitor to the Serbian people. Because we Montenegrins are strongly bound by our fathers. I rely on my partisans like Karadžić relies on his Chetnik father. Don't ask how and why, that's just the way it is in Montenegro. Betrayed on the same day when Karadzic's snipers shot bare-handed protesters in Ulica Brastva i Jedinstva and shot two children in front of me. And as time passed, my betrayal became more and more familiar to me because it turned out that I betrayed people who like to set fire, for example , mosques. And I am convinced that respect for other people's shrines is the foundation of all civilized living. I betrayed people who like, for example, to play football with severed Muslim heads. And for me, a human head, Muslim or not, is the greatest shrine in the universe because it is home to the human spirit that elevates us above animals I betrayed the people who sniper three-year-old girls, I betrayed the people who ambush and kill emergency doctors, I betrayed the people who carve crosses into Muslim flesh with knives. In a word, I betrayed people who betrayed all possible norms on which the moral code of humanity is based," said Vešović at the time.
Let us remind you that Vešović died last night in Sarajevo at the age of 78.
