As of today, electricity is more expensive

SOURCE: VICTORY / M.J.
Electricity for households will be 5.63 percent more expensive starting today, with the approval of a discount for regular payers that will neutralize the rise in electricity prices.
The bill for households with two-tariff metering with average consumption will be increased by EUR 1.51.
The bill for consumed electricity, despite the increase in price, can remain the same if citizens are rational in their consumption at higher and lower tariffs.
Namely, if a customer with average consumption used 45 percent of the energy he consumes on a monthly basis in a lower tariff, and 55 percent in a higher one, his bill would not increase compared to last year.
Elektroptrivreda (EPCG) approved an additional discount of 5.5 percent for electricity buyers from the household category, who regularly pay their obligations.
The discount will be applied starting from the January bill.
Thus, in accordance with the decision on establishing discounts for electricity from distribution customers, households - members of the Golden Team, who consume less than 500 kilowatt hours (kWh) per month, from January 1 to December 31, will be charged an 18 percent discount on the value of the calculated active electricity and network services.
Households from the category of other regular payers, with monthly consumption below 500 kWh, were granted a discount of 10.5 percent, while households from the category of all regular payers, with monthly consumption above 500 kWh, will receive a discount from January 1 to March 31. calculate a discount of 5.5 percent on the value of calculated active electricity and network services.
The decision of the Board of Directors of EPCG was primarily aimed at protecting customer standards, after the increase in the price of network services, but also at the additional stimulation of lower electricity consumption.
