The ship Antonija, which ran between Budva and Dubrovnik, is running on a different route from today, while the line with Budva is suspended for the time being.
As Portal Televizije E announced, Antonija sailed from Budva to Croatia for the last time on the evening of August 3. Soon after entering Dubrovnik, she continued towards Zadar.
This afternoon she sailed from Zadar to Pula.
That's how it turned out to be the real reason for the suspension of the line from Budva.
On Friday, Kompas' Adriatic Lines, which manages the ship, told the Croatian media that they had unforeseen technical reasons, that is, difficulties with one of the ships in the fleet.
- Because of this, we are forced to suspend navigation on the line between Dubrovnik and Budva in the period from August 4 to 18, 2024 - the Croatian company announced.
Those who have already bought a ticket for a ride from or to Budva were offered an alternative land transport option, the option to change the travel date or a full refund.
As Portal TVE writes, the line from Budva, pompously announced by the Montenegrin government, was only active for a month. It was suspended in the middle of the season, by the decision of the Croatian operator, who transferred the ship to its local line.
What is the real reason why the Croatian company decided to replace its broken ship with the one that was going to Montenegro?
