A message of support for the current head of state and presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Milo Đukanović also came from neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the eve of the second round of presidential elections, member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, said at the beginning of his speech that Montenegro is facing fateful elections.
It doesn't matter what you decide on Sunday. It does not matter to us in Bosnia and Herzegovina what choice you will make. We will never betray our Bosnia and Herzegovina. Don't do Montenegro either. Do not betray your ancestors, do not betray history, protect the country - Bećirović is clear.
Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are among the oldest countries in Southeast Europe, and as a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as he said, it is his human and political obligation to support the forces fighting for the preservation of independent Montenegro.
According to him, he was told not to take risks and not to support President Milo Đukanović, but, as he said, he never agreed to calculative calculations.
I am a man whose attitude is clear and loud, precise and unambiguous. I unreservedly support the people fighting for an independent Montenegro. President Milo Đukanović is a proven fighter for the Montenegrin state and a friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Bećirović.
In the continuation of his address, he pointed out that our two countries are threatened by the same big country.
Do not allow Montenegro to be conquered by the protogonists of the great powers. Show that a multi-ethnic and anti-fascist Montenegro is in the best interest of both Montenegro and the entire region and Europe. Protect anti-fascist and multi-ethnic Montenegro - he added.
At the end of his address, the member of the BiH Presidency called on the citizens to go to the polls on Sunday and, as he judged, save Montenegro.
On Sunday, show courage and strength. May Montenegro live forever. May Bosnia and Herzegovina live forever. May the alliance of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the state of Montenegro live forever - concluded Bećirović.
