Blockade and performance at the Government building: Students say they are not giving up, gathering again next week

Around 5:30 pm, the several-hour blockade at the Government building in Podgorica ended, organized by the informal group of students "Kamo Śutra?" due to unfulfilled demands regarding the tragedy in Cetinje in which 13 people were killed.

The blockade began today at 11 am.

As they had previously announced, the protesters made noise during the Government session.

Four minutes of silence were also held for the young victims of two multiple murders in Cetinje, Mašan, Marko, Jovan and Vukan.

They announced a new gathering for next week.

Karađorđeva Street in front of the Government was closed and fenced off today, our reporter reported, and citizens blocked Stanko Dragojevića Boulevard.

Students had previously called on citizens from all cities in Montenegro to join a joint blockade until 5:26 p.m.

Student Sofija Lopičić says that the students will not give up on their demands.

Today, while the blockade was in progress, a government session was held.

Milo Perović from the group “Kamo Śutra?” said earlier that they would try to disrupt the government session with noise during the blockade, which they did today.

“We are here to make noise and disrupt the session, to act in civil disobedience within dignified limits,” Perović told the MINA agency earlier.

Today, those gathered outside the government building chanted: “resignations,” “armchair people”...
