Citizens of Montenegro in Israel are still waiting for Air Montenegro: We are scared, the plane was not announced on time

Montenegrin citizen Nikola (full name known to the Pobjeda editorial office) who is currently in Israel, addressed our editorial office after the announcement of the Prime Minister in the technical mandate Dritan Abazović that the Government will quickly send a plane of the national airline Air Montenegro for all Montenegrin citizens in the war-torn country.

He also said that they were contacted by Ksenija Burić from the Montenegrin Consulate, with the announcement that an Air Montenegro plane would come to pick them up.

We had hope that the flight that was announced would be soon, however as time passes we are more and more scared and left in great uncertainty. We were actually contacted by Ksenija Burić from the Montenegrin Consulate, with the announcement that there would be a plane to pick us up. Since then we have had no information. No one answers the numbers of the Consulate after that - Nikola said.

He adds that the airport was also bombed and that it is possible to close it.

According to our knowledge, the plane is a difficult option because it was not announced in time and now it is increasingly difficult to enter the procedure for landing and for passing through Israeli airspace. In truth, there were fewer flights to Belgrade than reported (only one yesterday) - he explains.

He notes that the companies they work for are currently out of business and therefore cannot be paid for their work, adding that it is difficult for them to get to the store in order to feed themselves.

Citizens of Montenegro who are temporarily working in Israel, as well as all residents of Israel, are taken aback by the situation. On the first day, the expectation was that it would be one of the usual alarms and a sporadic incident with the Palestinians. As the days go by, it is obvious that the war will not end soon, on the contrary, we are witnessing horrible scenes. Constant bombardment, explosions and alarm sirens make us feel less and less safe and we are very upset - he pointed out.

He appealed not to manipulate information and to transmit only reliable information to them so that they could be organized.

Certainly, the message to the families and everyone from Crma Gora is to hold on and fight as befits us. A large number of citizens from Serbia are waiting for their turn to evacuate, and we cannot help them. Other countries in the region reacted on time and evacuated their citizens - said Nikola.
