Damjanović in Washington: Several energy projects considered, focus on the construction of the liquid gas terminal

Energy security is crucial for the further development of Montenegro and the region, it was said at the Meeting of Minister of Finance, Aleksandar Damjanović with Brad Crabtree, Deputy Minister of Energy, who is in charge of fossil fuels and hydrocarbon management.

At a meeting with the first man in the US Department of Energy, responsible for managing fossil fuels and hydrocarbons, Damjanovic discussed the intensification of Montenegro and the United States in the field of energy and the creation of the Counts of American companies on the Montenegrin market.

With the leading man of the US government for this area, several energy projects were discussed, with an emphasis on the construction of a liquid gas terminal (LNG), as evaluated, could become an important hub in the Western Balkans - the Ministry of Finance.

In the context of energy, Damjanović also talked to Alex Whittington, the Cheniere International Relations Director, the largest liquid gas supplier in Europe and others.

There were words about the way in which Montenegro can be part of the energy transformation, through the construction of the LNG terminal, so the concrete steps of Montenegro and this renowned world company were agreed in that direction.

Damjanović also met with David De Falc, Deputy Minister of Trade for Europe and Eurasia, with which he also discussed US companies in Montenegro, whose focus, would be digital transformations and transport, within which, as a priority, the continuation of the construction of the highway according to the neighboring Serbia was prompted.

De Falco pointed out the importance of mutual cooperation between the Western Balkans, emphasizing that it supports various regional initiatives that create conditions for serious investments of American companies in this region.
