DPS: Vuković's presence at the memorial service for a criminal represents a measure of (anti)fascism among the Democrats

The Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in Nikšić reacted after the president of the Municipal Assembly of that city, Nemanja Vuković, said that yesterday he attended the celebration of the founding of the Nikšić Cathedral of St. memorial service to the notorious Chetnik general Draža Mihailović.
We expected the Municipal Committee of the Democrats to distance themselves from Vuković's presence at the memorial service for Draža Mihailović, a convicted war criminal and leader of the collaborators of the occupiers. Also, we expected them to stand in the background of the words of their president, Aleksa Bečić, who said in his congratulatory message for last year's May 9 that Victory Day "permanently obliges us not to deviate from our anti-fascist path" and that "the values on which modern Europe rests must be fully accepted and consistently implemented in contemporary Montenegrin society" - said the DPS from Nikšić.
They believe that the Nikšić Democrats do not share such views of their leader or of one of the basic verticals of contemporary Europe.
In the end, it is more than shameful what a stain the Nikšić Democrats have inflicted on each member, voter or sympathizer, wherever he is, by this (in)action. However, soon at the session of the local parliament where the dismissal of Marko Kovačević will be voted on, the Club of Democratic Councilors will have the opportunity to at least partially wash the face of their Municipal Board and the entire party with their unanimous ZA - said DPS Nikšić.
