DRI controlled the implementation of the recommendations of GP Ur for 2020: Accounting is still in chaos

The State Audit Institution (DRI) will continue to monitor the activities of Ura, because of the five recommendations received in 2020, with a conditional opinion, four have been partially implemented, and one has not been implemented at all.

The auditors were not provided with evidence of the implementation of the recommendation related to the posting in accordance with the report on the assessment of the fair value of the equipment. There is no evidence of an inventory of assets on the last day of 2021, neither in the previous nor in this control. The recommendations regarding the calculation of depreciation, the disposal of money for financing the campaign, compliance with the deadlines for submission of IOPPD forms and procedures for engagement under the work contract were evaluated as partially implemented.

The audit established that Ura did not have documentation for 11.2 thousand euros of recorded expenses and 29.7 thousand euros of expenses on the wrong accounts. Inconsistent application of the law on financing of parties, on income tax and the regulations on the payment of taxes and contributions was established.

Like most parties, Ura paid 7.3 thousand euros of campaign costs from its regular account, to which it also paid 80 thousand euros in campaign loans. They do not have employment data for persons engaged under the contract. The party receives 99.25 percent of its income from the state and local budgets, from which 435.8 thousand were collected in 2020, while 12 people contributed a total of 1.9 thousand euros. Business expenses amounted to 431.6 thousand, of which 148.9 thousand was spent on advertising and 117.8 thousand on work contracts.
