FCJK professors: Activists of the Serbian world want to discredit us in order to shut us down institutionally as easily as possible

The promoters of ethno-engineering and the activists of the Serbian world want to discredit us in order to institutionally shut us down as easily as possible, said the professors of the Faculty of Montenegrin Language and Literature, reacting to the text published in today's edition of Vijesti, in which, among other things, it is stated that two regular, three extraordinary professors and three assistant professors of FCJK elected to academic positions in violation of the rules prescribed by the current Law on Higher Education of Montenegro.
The announcement signed by prof. Dr. Boban Batrićević, prof. Dr. Adnan Čirgić, prof. Dr. Sofija Kalezić, assistant professor Ph.D. Ethem Mandić, Assoc. Dr. Milan Marković, prof. Dr. Andrijana Nikolić, assistant professor Dr. Aleksandar Radoman and Prof. Dr. Vladimir Vojinović, we transmit in full:
Without wanting to justify ourselves in front of the false accusations made this morning by Vijesti journalist Srdan Kosović, we reject every line of Kosović's text with indignation.
Engaged in the task of shutting down the FCJK, as the only public institution that Vučić's government in Montenegro failed to bring under its control, journalist Kosović wants to morally discredit us when neither he nor his principals have already succeeded in discrediting us as experts.
FCJK is an independent public higher education and scientific research institution, that is, an institution outside the University of Montenegro, and is not bound by the rules and norms of that university. As an autonomous institution, we have the right to choose ourselves with whom we will conclude cooperation agreements and be elected to positions, because there was never a place for us at the University of Montenegro, which was built in such a way that it could be taken over by the Russian-Serbian agent Vladimir Božović without any resistance.
In our case, we chose the International University in Novi Pazar, which is licensed for these jobs, noting that we have excellent cooperation with that university through the Erasmus program and signed a cooperation agreement, and that our professors and students regularly go on exchanges and vice versa.
We believe that the public is clear that this morning's text, which was pompously announced on the front page of Vijesti, is directly related to the upcoming population census in Montenegro and the process of accreditation/reaccreditation of FCJK study programs.
FCJK is an institution that has published about 250 editions, which is the publisher of the only relevant international philological magazine in Montenegro, which is the organizer of a large number of domestic and international scientific gatherings that bring together the most important world names in philology, the publisher of the only History of Montenegrin Literature, etc.
And precisely because of this, because such an institution represents today the only institutional defender of the destruction and assimilation of the Montenegrin national and state identity, because of the reputation that the FCJK has among the citizens of Montenegro and among foreign experts, the promoters of ethnoengineering and the activists of the Serbian world want to discredit us in order to more easily extinguished institutionally.
It is not clear to such people that our mission cannot be suspended by shutting down the institution, because our lives are subordinated to that mission. To end it, they have to physically remove us. It will not be enough to remove FCJK.
We invite citizens who have been doubted by Srdan Kosović's text about the referentiality of our work not to be misled by his propaganda about world databases, but to look for references of all of us targeted by Srdan Kosović in the database of our National Library.
To violate someone's academic integrity, the propaganda work of the informal newsletter of the current government - Vijesti, is not enough, but evidence that no one can provide to prove that FCJK professors lack references for dealing with Montenegrin studies.
