These days, in the circumstances of presidential elections and certain extraordinary parliamentary elections, manipulative and distorted definitions of certain political parties can often be heard, according to the statement signed by the President of the Council of Civic Initiatives (GI) "21.maj" Miodrag Živković and program coordinator Rade Bojović.
For example, a few days ago we witnessed the renewal of the desperate coalition of the Democrats and Ura, who declare themselves to be the center of the future "citizens' block". With this, these two right-wing populist parties and notorious supporters of Greater Serbian clericalism falsely present themselves as a civil option. At the same time, on one side is Bečić, who is not allowed to utter a word of criticism against the SPC clergy, Vučić and Serbian ethno-nationalism or Putin's criminal aggression against Ukraine, even from the dugout - they said in the announcement.
They state that Abazović's entire career was reduced to, as they pointed out, the usurpation of power and the hidden signing of a legally void contract with the SPC.
That's why it's important to point out that these two false civil parties can only be what they are - servants of the Vučić regime and a rotten part of the newly composed right center. When Europe Now is added to them, which also emerged from the gate of the SPC and whose activities are reduced to political nonsense and harmful economic improvisations created in the Belgrade cabinets, then a fragile right-wing centrist alliance is looming - they emphasized.
They consider it a farce when the mentioned parties declare themselves civil missionaries.
In this sense, the chance for these three parties to be part of the lexicon of contemporary civil politics is illusory, in contrast to the real possibility that the leaders of these parties can be found in the frescoes of the SPC Cathedral in Podgorica. - they conclude in the statement.
