It is expected that the judges of the Constitutional Court will be elected at the end of January, beginning of February"

I believe that Parliament will start interviewing candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court during the week, and it is everyone's expectation that the judges of the Constitutional Court will be voted on at the end of January, beginning of February, said Prime Minister Dritan Abazović after a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, who today resides in Montenegro.

"The focus of international partners and all political actors in the next 15 days should be the election of judges of the Constitutional Court," Abazović said.

As he says, as far as the Government is concerned, it expresses its policy in the best possible way, claims Abazović, "and now it is up to the parliament to complete all possible procedures".

At the press conference, he said that Montenegro wants to build bridges of friendship with all countries, and that the topic of the meeting was the unfolding of the situation related to the US and political circumstances.

"Earlier messages were repeated. We have 27 applications for the US, I believe that the parliament will finish this process. We expect that at the end of January or February we will have a session where judges will be elected. The focus of all actors should be to elect judges," Abazović said. .

He also emphasized that he had not heard any different interpretation than before.

"I am grateful to my colleague Fajon. As for the Government, it carries out its policy in the best way, and now it is up to the Parliament to bring its decisions to an end as quickly as possible," said the Prime Minister.

Answering the journalists' questions, Abazović said that Fajon came as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, but that "I cannot share her functions".

Regarding the termination of negotiations with the European Union, he said that he had not heard that we had any negative news.

This is Fajon's second visit to Montenegro in the last month.

She, together with the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria, Aleksander Shallenberg, visited Montenegro on December 21, based on the mandate received from the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Jozep Borel.

At that time, they warned that the EU could consider stopping negotiations with Montenegro in January or February if the Constitutional Court is not trained. They also warned the parliamentary majority not to elect a new government based on the unconstitutional law on the president.
