The Education Inspectorate will propose dismissal of the director of the Podgorica Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović" Biljana Vučurović - said the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović at a press conference.
Reading parts of the inspection, she stated that this document assessed that Vučurović violated the provisions of the Statute of the Podgorica Gymnasium that the director takes measures to prevent violence in schools. Jakšić Stojanović explained that there is a deadline for execution, after which the proposal will be submitted to her.
"I will act in accordance with the law. We support every form of fight against all forms of violence, but I call on the entire public not to politicize this event, because it is our obligation to encourage every case of violence to be reported. It is necessary to promote that all institutions work in the common interest, which is to prevent all forms of violence, not only in school, but in all other places," said Jakšić Stojanović.
The inspection report, among other things, assessed that Vučurović did not ensure the rights of students and did not take measures to prevent vandalism and violence in school in relation to the report of a former student of this educational institution, Sara Vujisić.
As Jakšić Stojanović stated while reading the inspection report, she did not file a report with the school team, although she had the information, and did not contact other competent services.
Today, according to her, they received the findings of the Education Inspectorate, as well as the Labor Inspectorate.
She reminded that they had urgently initiated all procedures.
"We requested that the complete documentation be provided to us, that was on December 9th. On the same day, we forwarded all the documentation to the Podgorica Basic State Prosecutor's Office. On that day, we came across some additional documentation, which we also submitted to the ODT on December 10th. On December 9th, we sent a request to the members of the Parliamentary Committee for Science, Culture and Sports to initiate an urgent meeting, which was held that day in the premises of the Ministry of Science, Education and Innovation. All MPs responded except for the MP from the Democratic Party of Socialists," said Jakšić Stojanović.
